What Is Frequency Art?

Ancient peoples painted caves not to decorate, but to transmit. Across cultures and epochs, humans have created mandalas, icons, and symbols as carriers of meaning and power. Frequency Art belongs to this lineage of sacred image-making, yet it speaks directly to the moment we are living in now. It is art that carries the future and past as one, holding codes of both remembrance and genesis.

Frequency Art operates as an intimate and complex form of communication. It speaks as a visual language, provoking something familiar and long-forgotten, something humanity is only beginning to understand. It can calm, disrupt, or stir deep recognition. Each piece has its own identity, yet transforms as others enter into relationship with it.

Shapes, colors, and codes arrive as subtle nudges or sudden flashes of perception. These elements weave together into an energetic field that moves information directly to the unconscious. To stand before it is to commune with an intelligence that exists beyond words. The resulting works often resemble modern hieroglyphs, messages from the unseen rendered into form.

The field of these works extends beyond the boundaries of the canvas and paper. Light, architecture, sound, movement and the people sharing the space all become part of the work’s expression. Each painting influences its surroundings, while its surroundings influence how the painting communicates. The visual language is never entirely static; different aspects emerge according to where it lives and who stands before it, making each encounter personal and meaningful.

Artist Statement

We exist in an era of velocity and fear. Information moves faster than our nervous systems can process. We long for something that connects us to what is real beneath the noise. Rooted in a lifelong sensitivity to the subtle fields, my Frequency Art lives at the intersection of consciousness, visual language, and geometric architecture. It arises from pigment and form but also from resonance and code. Each piece carries frequencies that engage the body, the emotions, the space beyond thought.

Frequency Art emerges as an insistent impulse to communicate. I begin each work by building an architectural scaffolding that contains the intention of the piece. Onto this, I lay a landing strip of color and form, establishing the runway upon which codes, symbols, and messages arrive. When these frequencies fully embed, the piece animates, transmitting its intelligence into the work. The viewer enters not as a passive observer, but as a participant.

Each piece becomes an encounter, a field that disrupts the analytical mind and communicates directly with the intuitive and cellular levels of perception. Through its relationship with the viewer and the environment around it, new conditions arise, opening the possibility for something previously unseen to become available to perception.

These are not metaphors for energy; they are energy, guiding the observer to the brink of somewhere they’ve never been before.

Artist Bio

Lynnda Pollio is a contemporary abstract artist whose body of work, known as Frequency Art, explores resonance, symbolic architecture, and visual language. Her creative roots reach back to childhood, but her life as a visual artist began unexpectedly after a hiking accident shattered her elbow. During recovery, an overwhelming urge to create surfaced, beginning a prolific period of painting that continues today.

Pollio has always been drawn to what lies beneath the visible, to patterns, relationships, systems, and the subtler dimensions of human experience. Before turning fully to art, she spent decades in advertising and communications, where her ability to intuit what others could not see became central to her work. That same curiosity eventually led her deeply into consciousness and human development, and to become the world’s first Chief Consciousness Officer at a global futurist marketing consultancy.

What once appeared to be very different paths now meet in her art. Pattern, communication, consciousness, intuition, and a lifelong fascination with the unknown have become part of the visual language of Frequency Art.

Pollio is also the author of the multi-award-winning novel Trusting the Currents. She lives and works in Sedona, Arizona, after relocating from New York City in 2020.
